The 2018 Piqua Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, September 1, 2018. The event will feature artists and vendors from across the state of Ohio presenting their art and crafts for you to view and purchase. In addition to the traditional Arts Festival, we will also have live performances by some of the areas best small groups, craft beer, food trucks and a kids art zone.

The gazebo stage will be rocking all day long. With live music starting at 10a and a new performer taking the stage every couple hours. Music for the festival will include a southern rocker, a hometown songbird, hammer dulcimer and guitar duo and even wood winds.
A dedicated area at the Piqua Arts Festival will be set aside as a Kids Activity Area. In this space kids will have the opportunity to do many different art activities like drawing, painting and even sculpting. Most of the projects that will take place in the area, will be able to be taken home with the young artists, and a few collaborative pieces will be created as well. The Kids Activity Area will be open from 10a until 6pm.
Artists from across the state and beyond will be invited to participate in a Plein Air Paint Out as part of the Piqua Arts Festival. Artists will arrive between 8 and 10a and collect their artists packet with information on local highlights, restaurants and rules for the competition.
Once they have their packet, they can proceed to leave the Arts Festival Area and start painting. Artists will be required to return to the Piqua Arts Festival by 4p. They will have a "Wet Paint Sale" where artwork is put on sale from 4pm until 7pm. During this time, they will be able to participate in a Quick Paint Competition. Artists wishing to participate will pay a $10 fee and then popular vote (by the artists) will take home the pot. The quick paint will take place from 4:30 to 7p and winners for the Paint Out Competition and Quick Paint will be announced afterwards. 1st Place for the Paint Out will be $500, 2nd Place will be $250, 3rd Place will be $150 and two honorable mentions of $50 will be awarded.
