Welcome to Piqua, where the Arts are ALIVE!! In just another example of the celebration of the arts in the community, Piqua Arts Council will host an arts and ale festival. With artisans from all over providing crafts and fine art for you to purchase, live entertainment, food and drinks from local vendors and food trucks, a plein air competition, and a kids entertainment area, this event is one of the "can't miss" attractions in the community.

Members' Gallery

Utilizing the office space at 427 N. Main St, the Piqua Arts Council started a new program this year centered on creating a space for members to share their artistic creations. Any member of PAC has the opportunity to display work in the gallery. Novice artists to professional artists are all welcome with artwork being rotated quarterly. The gallery is open weekdays from 10am to 4pm and for special events.

RIVERSIDE PARTNERSHIP
In April of 2013, Piqua Arts Council and Riverside of Miami County teamed up for a permanent display in the PAC Members’ Gallery. Riverside of Miami County has 20 plus works of art from their consumers on display in the gallery and will rotate the pieces throughout the year. The display features depictions of famous paintings to original works of art and promises to be one of the most heartfelt exhibits in the area.

Artist workshops

Piqua Arts Council will host two workshops annually. A Spring Watercolor Workshop and a Fall Oil & Acrylic Workshop. In 2016, we'll welcome American Watercolor Society President and New York resident, Antonio Masi for a 4 day watercolor workshop. The fall oil workshop instructor will be Ryan S. Brown. Ryan will be focusing on landscapes, but is also an accomplished portrait artist as well.

Rockwell Reimagined

Piqua Arts Council would like to honor one of America's greatest painters, Norman Rockwell. Our vision is for an art exhibition with 40 works of art drawing inspiration from a Norman Rockwell cover of the Saturday Evening Post and then reinterpreting that image to reflect the changes in society and our values.

The Rockwell Reimagined exhibit will take place from March 1 - April 19 at the Piqua Public Library in their second story gallery with a dessert reception on February 28 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm.
